Office Administrator: Full time, permanent SGB position with effect from 1 September 2015.

Main Duties:

1. Management of all applications for admission to the school including receiving, capturing, analysis and reporting of data.

2. Management of the annual re-registration process

3. Maintaining the school data base with respect to each pupil's personal details

4. Other office management skills such as:

  • Liaison with the GDE re applications for tours/excursions
  • Switchboard operation for half an hour per day
  • Assisting Old Boys and past parents with archived documents
  • Management of the pupils' Personal Record Cards, Ed Lab cards and administration of pupil transfer cards
  • Distribution of faxes and dealing with general office inquiries

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. Minimum Matric with a qualification in the administrative field would be beneficial.

2. Minimum of 6 years experience in a related position.

3. Excellent personal skills and ability to interact with the public.

4. Excellent computer skills particularly Excel skills and proficiency with working with data bases.

5. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

6. Previous experience working in a school.

7. Ability to work well with other office staff.

8. Willingness to go the extra mile.

Salary: Negotiable (based on current school scales)

Hours: Normal working hours with 27 days leave per year which must be taken during the school holidays
