It was a truly inspiring moment at Pretoria Boys High School as Old Boy John Smit, from the Class of 1996 and Rissik House, returned to address the Matric boarders.

As the captain of the 2007 Springbok Rugby World Cup-winning team, Mr. Smit shared invaluable lessons from his own boarding days and leadership experiences. He emphasized the privilege that the Matric boys have in mentoring the younger boarders, and urged them to lead with integrity.
Drawing from his time as Springbok captain, he reminded the senior boys that leadership is about uplifting each other and using authority responsibly.
A message that resonates beyond the rugby field—leadership, respect, and responsibility are qualities that will shape our future!
